Distilled in 1999 and matured 21 years in a first-fill American oak barrel, it pours gold with vanilla custard, toffee and red apple aroma. The palate turns tangy-sweet — ginger cake, orange marmalade, a whisper of nutmeg — finishing warm and spiced. Best poured neat, slow, for an occasion that deserves patience.
