1848 Winery's Orient White, from the 5th Generation line, is a dry white blend made in Galilee, Israel from Colombard, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are picked at night during an early harvest, then fermented cold in stainless steel before three months resting in untoasted white oak. Expect nectarine and melon on the nose, with green apple and pineapple carrying through to a crisp, refreshing finish. 1848 Winery, founded by 8th-generation vintner Yossi Shor, traces its family's winemaking roots back to 1848 in Jerusalem. Serve chilled alongside grilled fish, soft cheeses, or Mediterranean mezze.
