Larceny Barrel Proof skips dilution entirely — it's Heaven Hill's wheated bourbon (68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley) bottled straight from the barrel at whatever strength six to eight years in Kentucky's rickhouses left it, no two releases identical. Tasting notes
The nose sets you up for a big, bold bourbon adventure with hot clove spices, tart apple, bing cherry, and woodsy cola spices. Caramel richness and vanilla are more present on the palate, mixing with spiced cherry pie flavors, wheat flakes breakfast cereal, and a hint of malted chocolate (like a Tootsie Roll). With such a high proof the finish unsurprisingly a bit on the hot side, but the sweet cereal and spice notes hold it up
