Fuyu — Japanese for "winter" — is a blended whisky built from a 50/50 mix of malt and grain, aged three years in American white oak before a six-month finish in Mizunara, the rare Japanese oak prized for its natural moisture and porous grain. That extra rest brings out honey, apricot, and caramel on the nose, with fresh pear and apple carrying through to a jammy, lingering finish. It's an easy sipper neat or on a single large-format ice cube, and mixes cleanly into a whisky highball.
