Moore series takes its high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon and gives it an extended rest in Merlot wine casks sourced from Napa and Sonoma Valley vineyards, finishing for two to four years after years in new charred oak. Bottled at 93.3 proof, it opens with brown sugar, oak, and a whisper of grape, moving into plum, dark raspberry, and stone fruit on the palate before a long, tannic, toasted-oak finish. Pour it neat after dinner alongside dark chocolate or aged cheese.
