Inspired by our worm tubs, we’ve sourced casks from other producers of oak-aged spirits who also employ worm tubs to make their liquid wares. The first in our Craigellachie Cask Finishing Collection is our award-winning 13 year old Craigellachie Single Malt finished in Bas-Armagnac casks sourced from the northernmost part of Gascony, in France.
Tasting notes
Nose: Bright and fruity. Pastry and bread. Mango and tropics. Tablet. Mineralic stone; dusty. Wet tarmac and orange peel. A big inhale gives tobacco leaves in a wood-clad study.
Palate: Lime, citrus, espresso, earthy. Sharper coffee. Parma violets, doughy sultanas, toffee and caramel but laced with biting zest. Honey served on overly ripe sourdough.
