Yes, that Metallica — Blackened is the whiskey the band built with distiller Dave Pickerell, aged to a soundtrack of their own low-frequency "Black Noise" waves that push the spirit deeper into the wood. This Volume 01 batch takes the bourbon-rye blend, finishes it in brandy casks, and bottles it uncut at 122.85 proof for a fuller, non-chill-filtered pour. Expect toffee, fig, and vanilla wafer up front, walnut and caramel on the palate, cinnamon and ancho chile lingering. Pour it neat, or over one big rock.
