Sliabh Liag Distillers is the first whiskey distillery to be located in Donegal, Ireland. Donegal is at the northern-most part of Ireland, and is home to the stunning Sliabh Liag Peninsula, on which ancient cliffs rise about 2,000 feet above sea level and silver sand graces the rocky shore.
Who founded Sliabh Liag Distillers?
Husband and wife James and Moira Doherty (pictured above) moved all the way from Hong Kong back to the place of their roots, Northwest Ireland, to pursue their dream of reinstating the distilling legacy of Donegal.
