IGNITE Your Big Game Passion With The Perfect Party Drinks

The Big Game we've all been waiting for is coming up, and we all know what that means. Time to plan the perfect party! Get that apron on and get started on your seven layer dip, tequila cocktails, poppers, and anything cheesy, spicy, or game day themed.

1. Midfielder Margaritas

Incorporating all the blanco tequila flavors with triple sec and lime present in a classic margarita, the Midfielder margarita adds in a beautiful green color and green apple and pear notes, elevating a mouthwatering cocktail to new levels.

 Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Dip margarita glass rims into a plate of Green Kinky Liqueur, then dip into a plate of salt. 
  2. In a cocktail shaker (or a larger container if the large batch doesn't fit), shake up the IGNITE tequila, orange liqueur (aka triple sec), green liqueur, and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake for about 20 seconds, or until completely chilled. Strain if using a cocktail shaker or large container.
  3. Fill the glasses with ice and pour the margarita into as many glasses as you'd like. This recipe makes about 5 Midfielder Margaritas, but can be adjusted to your party size! 
  4. Add lime slices to each glass for garnish, and start drinking and cheering!

2. Tequila Touchdown - With a Reposado Twist

The Tequila Touchdown cocktail was created with football in mind, but we took this recipe and pushed it to the next level with some tweaking and the addition of IGNITE Reposado Tequila. 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Pour orange juice, reposado tequila, lemon juice, and pineapple juice into a jug.
  • Pour the grenadine down the side as you tip the jug so that it's angled. 
  • Fill your Touchdown Tequila glasses with ice, and divide the cocktail into the glasses. This recipe makes about 8 cocktails, but it can be adjusted based on your party size!
  • Garnish with lemon zest curls, and your tequila cocktail is ready to be served at the next touchdown!

 3. Half-Time Jalapéno Paloma Cocktail

This game dayl inspired twist is the perfect companion to a half-time performance by Rihanna, adding fire, zest, and passion, and will have you dancing in the dark in no time!

Ingredients:

  • 3 bottles of grapefruit soda, such as Squirt, Ting, and Fresca
  • 9 oz IGNITE Blanco Tequila
  • 2 limes freshly squeezed
  • Coarse salt mixed with cayenne pepper for the glass rims
  • Lime wedge for glass rims
  • Jalapéno pepper slices, with seeds removed

Directions:

  • This recipe should make about 8 cocktails.
  • Run the lime wedge around the rims of the serving glasses, then dip each glass rim into a plate of coarse salt and cayenne pepper powder (cajun seasoning works here too, or it can be left out). 
  • Fill a serving pitcher with the tequila, lime juice, & grapefruit soda and top with ice if desired (please note that adding ice to the pitcher might water down the drink).  
  • In your serving glasses, add ice and then pour in your cocktail mixture.
  • Top with additional grapefruit soda if needed and garnish with 2-3 (or more, if desired) jalapéno slices & a lime wedge. 
  • Nothing gets an audience pumping like a spicy Tequila Paloma and a Rihanna performance!
