SUCCESS IN EVERY TASTE TEST
"The top of the list is Rare Breed. Over the past few years, three of my friends and I have developed a taste for bourbon. We meet together three to four times a month and have conducted numerous taste tests. Even blind taste tests were conducted on some. We have tested every so-called "high end" bourbon, as well as popular brands like Kirkland from Costco. We find it incredible that "Rare Breed" consistently wins, especially given that it is 108 proof. Jimmy Russell and the entire staff at the Wild Turkey Distillery deserve praise for creating such a quality bourbon."

For the money, it ought to be better.
"If it weren't for the price, I would have given it a higher rating. The initial taste was excellent. Much superior to 101. I wasn't as fascinated a few days later. As I did with my first glass of whiskey, I often sip my whiskey neat. However, now days I use ice and occasionally a splash."

Strikingly Distinct
"I must admit that I am rapidly growing to love WT products. I prefer stronger, deeper flavors, but this one is nice because it has a lot of flavor while being lighter than the typical bourbon overtones. On the nose, there is a hint of florality, followed by unexpectedly complex fruit and sweetness. will soon purchase again!"

Better than whiskey, in fact. Kentucky whiskey: the Dom Perignon of bourbon
"This is the best-tasting whiskey I've ever had for sipping! At first, it is as smooth as water, but soon after, you notice a powerful flavor of something that could be compared to sweet leather. I don't know what they mixed to get this flavor, but it far surpasses Gentleman Jack, Makers Mark, and "Knob" Creek. Prior to tasting this, I used to believe Gentleman Jack was the smoothest."

Cheapest and best barrel proof available
"I like fine bourbon, and this one is excellent. a tiny amount of cherry and spice. Lots of peanuts, vanilla, and caramel. Finish is not overly drawn out and not at all monotonous. It literally ends on a bittersweet note of burnt sugar that remains hidden until the sweet, soft flavors have faded. It tastes like drinking peanut brittle; buy a bottle every two weeks."

Well worth the money!
"Despite only having a few months' worth of bourbon experience, I really liked this particular whiskey. The flavor was sophisticated and mouthwatering. It was the ideal combination of sweetness, spice, and woody flavors in my opinion. At 116. 8, it had just enough heat to wake you up, but it wasn't overly hot, and it went down very easily. I'll make an effort to keep this on hand at all times and suggest it to anyone just starting out with bourbon who wants to start with a little palate exploration."

Very Nice Surprise, Excellent Value
""Sleeper" whiskey. I've always thought of WT as a "ascending want tobe bourbon snob," so to speak. This bourbon has pleasantly pleased me. Despite the higher proof, it's really tasty and smooth, and it's an excellent value. Undoubtedly one to have on hand!"

101 on some serious steroids!
"When my WT 101 ran out, I purchased this on a recommendation. The 101 is inferior than Rare Breed, which ought to cost twice as much. The cost is justified. Although it doesn't burn, this has a pleasant bite that you would expect from a barrel proof. It has pleasant spiciness and a nutty undertone, and I could taste the barrel in the finish. Will it be a favorite of yours? That is arbitrary. Is it appropriate for your bourbon shelf? Yes! You won't be dissatisfied."

Where have you been my whole life, this bourbon?
"Wonderful bourbon, possibly the best I've ever had. With aromas of burnt caramel and orange zest that linger on your mouth for what seems like an eternity, the depth and complexity are astounding. Such a gorgeous and expertly made bourbon."

Very undervalued, this bourbon is actually quite good.
""At 116+ proof, it tastes like 100 proof; it's unusual from some in that it has a citrus-y feel; it also has traces of cinnamon in addition to the customary vanilla, caramel, and dried fruit; and it's one of the first bourbons that got me interested in learning more about bourbon (cherry, I taste). Don't combine it, for the love of God, and don't use it to make old fashioneds or whiskey sours; instead, simply enjoy it neat. Without ice or water, simply drink it straight. ""
