Proof and Wood - The Stranger Polish Rye Whiskey

This unique rye was originally distilled in Poland and aged in french oak, the rye for some reason then made its way to the USA where it was further aged in ex bourbon barrels for a total of 7 years. We rescued it and finished it in ex-rye barrels for a few months. The result is a nice spicy rye featuring notes of cinnamon, pine and cherry swimming in a tidal wave of vanilla and caramel.Non- chill filtered and bottled at 105 proof, 52.5 ABV 10 barrel batch Rye was distilled in Poland, aged for several years in Poland in French Oak barrels. Shipped to KY and further aged for several years in Bourbon barrels in KY. Intense rye characteristics with lovely flavors of American Bourbon layered on top.
