Lock Stock & Barrel 21-year is double distilled in copper pots from a mash bill of 100 percent rye grain. It is noted that a “robust cut” is selected then aged in new charred American oak barrels in cold weather for 21 years. It's then bottled at 111 proof.
Tasting notes
Nose: Warm spiced date cake, treacle toffee, orange peel, baking spices
Palate: Full bodied with luxurious viscosity, treacle, caramel, coconut, cocoa, cinnamon, anise
Finish: Long voluptuous finish, leather, oak, slightly smoky, rye spice dry down
