About Leslies Muscadine Brandy
John Emerald partners with local muscadine vineyards to source the grapes and then ages the brandy in its used quater cask (15 gallon) single malt whiskey barrels for approximately three years. Utilizing the smaller barrels and the thick Alabama heat a much greater age equivalence is acheived. This is a turely unique product that is made in very small quantitys. Jimmy Sharp, founder and master distiller, is hopeful to grow/create the category of muscadine brandy giving new life to an abundant crop in the southeastern unuted states.
