This annual special release Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye celebrates the early craftsmanship of the Jack Daniel Distillery, honoring a time when American whiskey was often high in rye content and offered at barrel strength. Bottled in its purest form right from the barrel and uncut at full proof, it’s packed with Jack character with our signature smooth finish.
Nose: The nose starts off big, with mint leaf, spun sugar, almonds, caramel bark, and a heaping of dark cocoa. Then comes a wave of dark red berries, cookie crumble, and graham cracker pie crust. The nose is unmistakably rye, without feeling traditional.
Palate: There are notes of dark cherry, candied fruits, eucalyptus, green apple, and marzipan that dance along your tongue while simultaneously punching you in the mouth with heat.
