This single-cask whisky was distilled at the Caol Ila distillery on Islay. The single malt features a balance of smoky, fruity, spicy, and sweet notes, and is adorned with gorgeous illustrations of Hugo Cuellar. The single cask yielded 304 bottles of this 7-year-old whisky that was bottled at 114.8 proof.
Tasting notes
Campfire smoke leads the charge on the nose of this Islay powerhouse, followed by a fruity sweetness and a touch of tartness. The palate is initially surprisingly light with spicy, smoky, and dry notes giving way to a burst of fruit. The finish slowly turns from dry to sweet.
