Balcones - Lineage Texas Single Malt Whisky
As a pioneer in the American Single Malt category, Lineage celebrates the balance of Texas provenance and old world tradition. It features Texas-grown and malted barley aged in refill oak alongside Scottish Golden Promise malted barley. We've infused what we've learned from the centuries old single malt traditions that have long been an inspiration to us. Together, these elements are refined through maturation under the intense climate of Texas.
Bold, yet approachable, Lineage invites any consumer to jump into the American Single Malt category. We incorporated both Scottish Golden Promise and Texas-grown malted barley and aged the whisky in both refill and new oak barrels, to create something distinctly Texan.
Nose: Sweet and indulgent, sourdough starter and cream soda, mulled cider, bruised bananas and peaches
Taste: Caramelized sweetness, soft oak, manuka honey, chestnuts and hint of red wine reduction
Finish: Warm engaging notes of pineapple upside down cake and creamy Vietnamese tea linger on a soft finish
