Overview

Aged first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished for 8 months in casks that previously held ex-Famiglia Pasqua Amarone.

The pairing of robust single malt whiskey alongside deep and rich Amarone wine is not for the faint of heart—the malty characters of the triple-distilled malt balance beautifully with the deep fruit tones and tannins provided by this iconic red wine.

Famiglia Pasqua has been in operation since 1925, now run by the third generation of the family—a prestigious and multi-award-winning Italian vineyard. These casks are constructed of French oak and have been used for three rotations of Amarone before being filled with our single malt Irish whiskey. A potent and memorable combination.

High n’ Wicked “Rose Tattoo” has been bottled at cask strength, 59.9% ABV (119.8 proof), with no additives and non-chill filtered (some cloudiness may occur).

A Single Malt Irish Whiskey, originally distilled in County Carlow, Ireland - 100% Malted Barley entirely from the area.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Caramelized pears, apple pie filling, brown sugar, and candied cherries evolve into notes of cinnamon crumble, Earl Grey tea, and fresh malted barley. A hint of thyme and lavender on the close.

Palate: Big, full, and expressive. The cask strength holds nothing back, opening with a soft cocoa note that quickly dissipates into honey butter tones, accompanied by an intense punch of tree fruit in the mid-palate. It finishes dry, with a touch of black tea and hints of the lush tannins from Amarone.
