Overview

Our journey begins in the heart of Oregon’s fertile fields. Master Distiller Molly Troupe collaborated with Camas Country Mill to select heritage and ancient grain varieties that are stone-milled to preserve full flavor. The blend of Great Northern Rye, Purple Karma Barley, and the nutty richness of Buckwheat give Freeland Rye a balance of spice and depth. Limited to 12 barrels, this is our first batch of 100% Oregon grown and distilled Rye Whiskey. Join us in raising a glass to the heart and soul of Oregon, embodied in every drop of Freeland Rye.

About Freeland Spirits

One of few women owned and operated distilleries,

Jill Kuehler founded Freeland Spirits in Portland, Oregon. Master Distiller Molly Troupe studied biochemistry before earning a Masters Degree in Distillation from Heriot Watt in Scotland. Molly commands perfection with every spirit she orchestrates. Local rancher Cory Carmen grows the grain in Wallowa Valley Oregon, carefully rotating her crops and seeking out new varieties to grow.

FREE SPIRITS

Freeland Free Spirits program celebrates female-identifying, transgender, and gender-nonconforming Oregonians who are busting through the glass ceilings and soaring. These are people who think and act in an uninhibited way without worrying about so-called rules or norms. We might call them non-conformists, rule-benders, iconoclasts, mavericks, or bohemians. We might say they march to their own beat, to their own muse. We appreciate them for their abilities to help their community, to create beauty, to be original, to blaze trails, and to celebrate unabashedly.
