Our debut. For Batch One, we crafted a blend meant to introduce whiskey lovers to the essence of Spiritbenders. We search out spaces in the world of fine spirits that others have yet to fill, always guided by taste and quality. Batch One brings together two aged bourbons from distinct distilleries, climates, and rickhouses, each bourbon bearing its own story shaped by years of unique temperature cycles.

After five and seven years of aging, these bourbons moved to finishing barrels—sherry, port, and maple syrup. We then proofed it slowly, preserving the blend’s lush, fruity depth and achieving the smooth, balanced finish we envisioned.

We are Spirit Benders

Blending and finishing are just as important as mashing and distilling. Four Barrel is a blend of five and seven year old bourbons finished across four different casks. Our distinct proofing water is added in cask over a period of months in order to preserve the delicate flavors of the spirit.

Nose: Aromas of vanilla crème wafer and toasted pecan mix with the warmth of white pepper and poached pear, promising a rich experience from the start.

Palette: Layers of butterscotch and candied ginger meld with a hint of grilled blood orange, while a creamy finish nods back to the vanilla crème on the nose. Add a drop of water to reveal hints of baking spice and delicate English macaron.

Finish: A medium-to-long finish with notes of caramel and toffee that evolve into a lingering, tawny port richness, leaving a buttery, satisfying close.

OUR WHISKEY

We look for spirits that combine to be better than the sum of their parts. We are creating spirits that folks say, ‘I’ve never tasted anything like that before… and it’s delicious!'

And while blending is one of the focuses at Windows, finishing spirits is an entirely different art. New and unique used barrels are one staple. Creating a specific proofing water is another. And smoke… just wait until you taste the spirits that are coming from Windows Distillery. Post-distillation finishing of these exceptional spirits led to the concept of the team being “Spirit Benders.” If a spirit needs just a little something to elevate the taste profile, we spend our days figuring out just how to naturally and creatively bring the profile to life. It’s what drives us… make each barrel, each blend, each bottle something special that we’re delighted to share with friends.
