The Great Oregon Wine Company - Rascal Pinot Noir Red Wine

Harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed, then kept at 5ºC for 5 days before fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation was done in stainless steel tanks for 23 days, with gentle pumping over in order to keep the delicate fruit character. 20% of the wine was aged for 5 months in contact with French oak.

The wine has a brilliant ruby red color with deeper hues of indigo. It is intense and complex on the nose which is dominated by fruity aromas of black cherries, blueberries and plums, combined with subtle savory notes of tobacco, sweet basil and vanilla. On the palate this wine is soft, fresh and round with a finish that hints of spice and brown sugar.
