Stellum - Single Barrel Vega M4 Bourbon Whiskey
Their finest whiskeys are chosen for their single barrel program. These are the Stellum bourbon and rye expressions that work particularly well on their own, instead of in a blend, and are bottled at cask strength. This Vega M4 is bottled exclusively for Caskers.
Distilled in Indiana from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, the bourbon spent 5 years in its new charred American oak cask, before being bottled at 120.02 proof in Kentucky. Pulled during summer 2021, it's a bold expression with notes of nuts, allspice, vanilla, fig, and hints of coconut and dried cherry.
The nose of this bold expression is rich with hazelnut, allspice, and honeysuckle aromas. On the palate, you'll find vanilla, fig, and carrot cake notes. The finish is long and pleasantly warm with lingering toasted walnut, coconut, and tart dried cherry notes.
