Glenmorangie - The Cadboll Estate Batch 3
This 15-year-old single malt is made from barley grown on Glenmorangie's own Cadboll Estate in the Highlands, which is grown according to whisky maker Dr Bill Lumsden's exacting specifications. For this third release in the series Dr Bill has married spirit made from two separate harvests, which was initially aged in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in casks that had previously held Amontillado sherry. The result is a fragrant, cereal-forward whisky with lots of sweet and spicy flavours.
Made with barley harvested on the distillery’s own fields at Cadboll Estate, this third release was partially finished in ex-amontillado sherry casks. The result is an aromatic and fragrant single malt with aromas of hazelnuts, honey-glazed mandarins, sweet toffee and barley. The palate is matched with notes of gingerbread, hazelnut praline, toffee and a hint of cloves.
