Segal's - Special Reserve Merlot Dry Red Wine
In crafting this fine Merlot, grapes grown in the unique climate of the Upper Galilee are harvested at peak ripeness. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in a mixture of French and American oak. The result is a wine with a ripe, peppery nose, and balanced by its rich body, deep flavor and color. Though drinkable now, this wine is sure to cellar well.
The protracted skin contact resulted in an aroma so richly fruity and varied that it is hard to describe: notes of morello cherry, raspberries, undertones of black pepper and cassis blended with a bouquet of rich coffee, vanilla and leather.
