Alamos - Red Blend
We start with our juicy, incredibly aromatic and concentrated Malbec and its dense plum, juicy blackberry and black cherry flavors typical of Argentinian Malbec from the adventurous Mendoza winegrowing region. Uniquely, we add Bonarda to the red blend, a European variety that thrives in Argentina. Commonly known as Charbono in the United States, Bonarda adds intense color, dried fruit character and classic savory notes of leather and black olives. Cabernet Sauvignon adds rich berry and slight herbal notes, while intriguingly spicy black pepper and blueberry notes come from Syrah. The Red Blend wine consists of 65% Malbec, 16% Bonarda, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Syrah.
